Allie Omens
Allie is a dedicated public servant and ‘creative do-er’ focused on reducing landfill waste in Nashville, Tennessee. As Zero Waste Program Coordinator for Metro Nashville Waste Services, she manages education and outreach to boost recycling participation and achieve Nashville's zero waste goal. She also advances strategic planning and special projects in construction and demolition debris and food waste, including Nashville's curbside composting pilot program. In 2023, the Solid Waste Association of North America named her Young Professional of the Year.
Allie is pursuing a Master of Public Administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she also earned her undergraduate degree in Public Policy and Environmental Studies. In her free time, Allie enjoys playing soccer and crafting with her two kitties.
